Schmutz Cinema is an Amsterdam-based cultural initiative and cinematic platform dedicated to pleasure activism and erotic art curation. Intersecting cinematic creativity with sexual well-being, Schmutz creates non-judgmental, inclusive spaces that reframe intimacy and pleasure as vital cultural assets.
As founder and curator, I have scaled the platform from a local conceptual screening into a recognised cultural brand, independently producing multiple programmes in Amsterdam and Rotterdam and a dedicated multi-day festival edition at LAB111 featuring curated short films, live DJs, and educational workshops.
Beyond these flagship productions, Schmutz Cinema acts as a trusted external curatorial partner for major cultural institutions. I have directed and programmed several special festival editions across the Netherlands, including invited curations for Kaboom Animation Festival and International Queer and Migrant Film Festival (IQMF) in Amsterdam, InScience Film Festival in Nijmegen and Sickhouse in Enschede.
