Since 2021 Founder & Curator
Schmutz Cinema creates a space where erotic imagination and cinematic creativity meet; where intimacy and pleasure are not only entertainment, but an integral part of our emotional wellbeing. Whether you’re a long-time lover of erotic art or just a little curious, Schmutz Cinema welcomes you without judgement and with a good dose of humour.
Since the conception of Schmutz Cinema, I have organised ten programs and a special festival edition with multiple screenings, DJs and workshops at LAB111 in Amsterdam. Additionally I have been invited to curate eight+ special editions for festivals ranging from InScience in Nijmegen to International Queer and Migrant Film Festival in Amsterdam.

2021 - 2024 Head of PR & Media for Dutch Design Week & Dutch Design Awards.
Dutch Design Foundation is convinced that designers provide an essential contribution to making our world a more beautiful, sustainable and social place. We are optimistic but we also recognise the current issues and how serious they are. We believe in the forward thinking and action of designers and create space for this.
For over three years I was spear-heading all press-related efforts of two DDF labels: Dutch Design Week (DDW) and Dutch Design Awards (DDA). I was responsible for the overall PR strategy, negotiating media partnerships, conceptualising and organising press trips, and maintaining and expanding all national and international press relations.

Women Watching Porn was an educational podcast about female pleasure. Each episode, Cris, Maxi and Laura invited guests to find the good, the bad and the orgasmic. Along the way we talked about masturbation and how exploring yourself can change how you explore the world.
Women Watching Porn was an independent, collaborative podcast founded and executed by Cris Dobbins and me. Since its conception, we taught ourselves to produce, edit, and distribute podcast episodes. In 2019 and 2020 we also hosted live shows at Kaboom Animation Festival.

WeMakeThe.City deals with major urban challenges, shares knowledge, and presents innovative solutions, offering an inspiring, interactive programme.
2018 saw the first edition of WeMakeThe.City.
2019 | 2020 Head of PR, Marketing & Communication
Kaboom Animation Festival is the one-stop-shop for the latest and greatest in all things animated. Ranging from cutting-edge experimental arthouse to colorful stories for families and kids, Kaboom will cater to the animation needs of all. Yes, even yours, my amazing weirdo friend.
Kaboom is the result of the two biggest Dutch animation festivals (KLIK and HAFF) merging. I was largely responsible for spearheading the creation of the new name, visual identity, and the overall launch of the new festival. I collaborated with creative agency KesselsKramer and other creatives to build the brand identity of this festival from scratch.
The biggest challenge lay in the duality of the festival: 9 days, 2 cities, 10 locations. How can we create a cohesive, unified identity when the Utrecht programming targets kids and families while the Amsterdam part focuses strictly on adult animation?
2018 | 2019 | 2020 Head of Marketing, Communications & PR

Originating from the Montreal-based VICE magazine, VICE expanded primarily into youth and young adult-focused digital media, including online content verticals and related web series, the news division VICE News among other properties.

Established in 2004, BLEND quickly became the leading Dutch fashion, arts and lifestyle magazine. BLEND Magazine was a platform for young creatives with the aim to connect them to an international audience.
BLEND asked me to seek out original and third party content for their online platform. Along the way, I built a network of talented writers that shared their stories and vision of the world.
